I just watched Cinderella Man on HBO for the first time and was wondering what other people thought of the movie.

I love this movie and to me it is the best boxing movie I have seen. On par with Rocky.

Strange I just finished watching the movie on HBO too.
Its a good movie, although I am getting tired of the down trotten characters Russel Crowe plays. What really makes the movie for me is that its based off a true story. Russel Crowe's acting is fine, I do believe that Renee Zelllweger did a wonderful job and was enchanting with her acting skills.

I thought it was okay, as I understand, it was underated in the US. I also heard that in the US, movie theaters were "guaranteeing" it - offereing refunds if moviegoers didn't like it. I didn't undertsand the words because I saw it in Russia and there were no subtitles. So it's a good movie to watch if you don't understand what they are saying. I guessed at most of it.

Critically it did spectacularly, but barely recouped its costs at the box office.
Theater owners were sponsoring free viewing days just to get people out to see what they thought was one of the best movies of the year, but unfortunately, it didn't work.

I think it is an incredible movie, and Russell Crowe is an amazing actor.
