One of my favorite sayings is:

A smart man learns from his mistakes.
But a Wise man learns from the mistakes of others.

I am guesisng you are talking about your parents or people who look over you?

First, let me tell you who I am.
I'm 26, female, with two kids and I'm quite familiar with being in your situation.

Yes, you will make your own mistakes, regradless if your mom or dad stop you or not. Life is an experience.
BUT, your parents/whomever does this because they love you and believe it's best for you. Really.
If I was you, I would think about what they are asking you to do rationally without worrying about what you feel.
Just think about why THEY are requesting it. After that, if you don't agree, tell your parents/whomever and tell them WHY.

I was young and I thought I knew it all, but I didn't. What can I do about that? I mean, It was what I was percieving out of life at that moment. It's not a fault, it's an experience so...

My point is, your who you are right now, they are who they are right now. There's no hate. Just love, and unfortuantely something we all have due to the obscenity in this world: Fear.

Make sfae, good, decisions and discuss what you believe. Communication is key.

Good Luck.

When an individual makes a mistake, most likely he or she will learn something, and be able to reflect on that moment, when that mistake was made. A sheltered person will never be able to reflect on actual events, only on what someone else said. That leaves room for doubt of how the situation could have differed.

There is no better TEACHER than that made by mistakes. One can be told they should not stick your finder in a running fan but it is not a good teacher.. If I stick my finger in a running fan and get hurt, I will remember that forever.. a GREAT teacher ... mistakes make.

Oh yes.. there are exceptions. A young gal can be told by her mother/parents that she should NOT go out with a guy and do "anything".. The girl should LISTEN to her parents/friends for something like that because having a baby at 15 would be a horrible mistake and one that you would NOT want to do first and then learn by the mistake made..

There is no way around it. People will always make their own mistakes. Sometimes the mistake will be trusting those that say, "trust me!" Every decision or choice one makes is in fact one's own decision or choice including the decision to heed the advice of others. One's decision may be influenced by others but it is still one's own decision as to how much we let others influence our decisions. In addition there is nothing wrong with taking the advice of others. In life we only make the mistakes that we need to make in order to grow or expose our own weaknesses to ourselves. If we deem that someone else's advice is sound we obviously know enough to know that their advice is sound advice and that we need not make the mistake of doing otherwise. Why bother going through the trouble of making a mistake if you know what the right thing to do is? That in itself would be a mistake wouldn't it?

Everyone makes mistakes but some people cant accept this. Everyone is allowed to make mistakes because we are all equal and no one is perfect. People try to protect you because they dont want to see you hurt and they know the world can be a cruel place.

People should be allowed to make their own mistakes as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else.
