They're in love? Then if you ask them what love is, they tell you that they cant explain it?
Can you really tell what love is if you don't even know what it is?
Oh! Do you think Barney is hot? I'm talking about the dinosaur.

For you people,
Is love really the same as a crush? Is it part of it?
The idea of it being a chemical reaction THAT WEARS OFF keeps me from getting a crush.

first off Barney is not hot...he is a mindsucker who must be publicly hanged (preferably a triple hanging with baby bop and bj hanged on either side of the Purple Satan) for manipulating our peoples into buying his cheezy products and spreading his messages of false love that mislead kids into thinking everything is alright in the world when it is not! hello that will only breed suckers and gullible idiots
as for the love? no one can truly tell what love is...thats the reason why many if not all people are mystified by the damn thing. thats why there are no such things as love experts (people who say they are experts are just about as fraudlent as Barney)...besides there are many classifications of love such as familial, brotherly/sisterly, comraderie, and intimate love...it really depends on the people involved

hmm, wow... well let's get this Barney thing out of the way first... anybody that frotzes around in a purple suit and plays with children either needs professional help or to be locked up!
As for being "in love" versus "loving" ah yes they are two different parts of the same thing. According to some sources there are actually several types of love... one is familial love like what you feel for your mom or other close family members, there's nothing you wouldn't do for them. One is fraternal, what you feel for your friends, you care for them, you want what's best for them and you like hanging around with them. If it's between a girl and a guy it's often called "platonic" but from experience I think that never lasts long and usually turns into the ever-famous lust which is probably what you're asking about... your head spins, you're "happy" and you feel like you're on the top of the world.
Then there is "agape" (uh-GAH-pay) or unconditional love, which is what you have to have if you plan to be married and have children. Basically agape is what happens when the lust wears off and you realize you have made a commitment to be with this person (people if you have kids) and no matter how mad they make you or how annoying their habits are, or how many times they hurt you (unless it's really abuse) you are going to stick by them no matter what. You want what's best for them, you want to do what makes them happy and even though there are days you wish you could cash it all in and start over... there's just something that makes you glad you stayed. I think agape is all those other kinds of love bundled up into one big thing... it's not the same every day but it is there every day.
I hope this helps. It really IS kind of hard to describe...

To understand love, you have to study the phenomenon from the point of view of an external observer. From this vantage point, you will see that when two people bond, react, and fall in love the process is what is called a ‘human chemical reaction’. During a human chemical reaction, the lives of two people collide in time, and if their mutual energies are strong enough to break their current bonds so to form new bonds, they will go through what is called a ‘transition state’. If their reaction is energetically favored, following the transition state, a period that may last for up to 2.5 years, the reacting couple will unite to form the strongly bonded married couple, a structure typically associate with great stability. Lastly, through the total bonding process, energy is released, some going to work, some going to play, and some lost to relationship dissipation, such as in tensions, frictions, arguments, and misalignments, etc. Hence, the process of love entails this entire process.

Love is something that's difficult to explain. I'm sure that it's different for everyone, which is why it's probably so difficult to define exactly what love is.A crush might be a simple physical attraction to someone or an infatuation with someone who you are curious about. True love makes you feel like you have met the other half of yourself. True love is trusting and unselfish and sacrifices for the other person.
