when do you have to report back to work ?

Teachers report Aug.2, Students the following Monday.8th? 9th?
We are on a modified year-round schedule. We get 2 weeks off in Oct., 2 weeks in Dec., and 2 weeks at Easter. We get out June 3 I think.
It took me three days after school was out to finish packing up my room (I"m moving next door) And there were others still there.
I will go in at least the Monday before I have to and probably before that. As soon as the custodians let us in. They control everything.

My first official day back is August 17. I believe that's a Thursday. However, I'll actually be going back the Monday of that week, otherwise my room won't be ready in time for the first day of school. But I am doing a lot of reading and reflecting this summer and I'm even going to a workshop next week, so I guess you could say that I never really take a break. I just get to dress in shorts for the next month and a half.

I report back on August 7 to orient new faculty to our campus. The rest of the crew comes back on August 9. In our district, we are required to take a certain number of professional development hours, so we are going to classes during the most of the summer! ...and they say we teach so we can have three months off! I'm lucky if I get in a two-week vacation.

Report back date is August 7th. Honestly though, I've never stopped working and I'll be going back July 17th for an instructional council retreat.

Ugh...don't mention it.
But, since you asked, my date to return to the classroom is August 15, although I will probably show up the week before to get everything ready for my third graders in time for the first day of school which is Aug. 21. We do, however, get 3 weeks off during the holidays and a full week off for Thanksgiving break. But this all comes at a price: school isn't out for us until June 12 next year. Don't you just love it?

I am actually working this summer also. But we go back to school August 23rd. It is different everywhere, depending on where you live. I used to live in Savannah, GA and we would go to school in August and get out in May. Now I go to school late August and get out mid-June.

Our students report back this year on Aug 16. We usually are asked to report one week earlier.

I work in a public school in New Jersey.....I can relax until Sept. 5th...but am due back for workshops on August 21st.
