Try turning the tables on them - "kill them with kindness". This works every time.
You can invite the person who is harassing you to lunch and calmly ask them if you have, in some way, offended them. Continue on with "if I have offended you, I apologize - I was not aware that I had done so". Ask the person if you can start over with a clean slate.
Usually this will stop the harassment. If it does not stop, I suggest that you document everything and when the time is right, along with the documentation, speak with your Supervisor.
Have a lovely rest of the evening.

Wait a minute, are they harassing you, or "pretty much harassing" you? The law sees the two things differently.
What don't you first ask the person why they are treating you that way, and tell them how it makes your feel, and ask them to stop it? If they don't tell tha manager. In the meantime, keep notes of what and when the other person says stuff.

Ah yes, I've been there.
It depends on what form the harassment takes.
Most companies these days won't turn a blind eye to sexual or racial harassment. In those cases you should talk to a supervisor or if it is the supervisor doing the harassment then talk to her boss.
Other wise you might be on your own. Some people are just bullies and they know how to get away with it. In the end it may be you that has to make the decision to move on.

First, confront the person in a very professional way, and ask him to stop. Tell him exactly what is bothering you and that you consider his behavior harassing. If he doesn't stop go to your manager or Human Resources and ask for their assistance in the matter.

Try Human Resources. If that doesn't work, there is always the Employment Board (government agency).

tell your harrasser that you are uncomfortable with whatever they are doing and please stop. if they dont listen, tell human resources. this should stop it. if it still doesnt stop, start looking at legal options.
and document everything. keep a journal, save emails, voice mail messages, etc.
