Looks like you're doing a summer school assignment. Do your own research! I'm sure you could find some help at the Johnson & Wales University site. That's a big hospitality industry school in Rhode Island.

Well i am a 56 yr old male, and i thought about your question and i dont see a lot of differences.Trends ,well ,if you look at fashion,or the dress standards, they have always kept on turning back and forth over the years and i believe they always will because theres realy only a limited ways you can dress and people will always tend to get tired of one and revert to another. At the present moment,i see a very open sexuality amongst the females, but we went through similar, in the sixties with mini skirts which just kept on getting shorter,-but that died and the long skirts came back ,then hot pants then back to mid length skirts-so i think fashion turns around.--Food well we still seem to have the old breakfast cereals ,bacon and eggs etc and people still eat the traditional roast dinner with vegies and gravy,to old grandmas recipe along with her apple pie etc,so i dont see a change that way either.the fast food industry is a big change, but this is because of population growth .but for those who want it,there is always the good old table service, although you have to go to a realy top class restraunt to get realy good personalised service--again population growth is controling this-now you see vendor machines where you walk past, put your money in, and out pops your hot dog,etc and a cup of coffee etc, these were a rare thing to come accross years ago, but also we did not have the technology to make them.
