you should definitely go to smoothie king they have the best smoothies there, also there's a place called big kahuna's, they have a water park, open only in summer, a mini-golf course, go-karts, and an arcade, there's also an outlet mall in destin, and, the destin commons is good shopping too
also, go to mcguires for dinner

You will absolutely LOVE Destin! You'll want to go back year after year. We've been there twice in one year (just got back from our second trip about 3 weeks ago).
The first time we went, which was only a year ago, we rented through Southern Resorts. They were a pleasure to deal with and have tons of great properties for rent.
If you have kids (or even if you don't), one of the dolphin cruises would be fun. We went on the Southern Star sunset dolphin cruise. It was very nice.
There's lots to do...parasailing, snorkeling, jet ski rentals, great places to eat! You'll have a blast!

Around Destin you can go to the little amusement park where they have go carts and bumper boats. Go and check it out.

My family went with my brother and his family before the hurricane, and we went to water parks and beaches and all that...but I wouldn't count on the water parks being there.

Go down to the fishing pier and watch them catch the very beautiful Spanish Marlin.Be sure to take your camera.

also a putt putt place
and pretty nice restaurants including joe's crab shack & fudpuckers
