Seriously, what is wrong with people???

Question

This kid killed his father and then his sister..then he killed himself in the family car....that is just totally out of control. This is soo sad.
The mom came home from work to find her whole family dead :( Man, I feel so bad. Why can't people just be NORMAL??!!!

People have been doing crazy stuff like this since there were people. We just hear about it more since we now have "24 hour news cycles". Sometimes I think we were better off without round the clock news. Try not to let it bother you too much; if you spend too much time thinking about all the wacks and suffering they cause, you'll spend all your time crying. It took me weeks to get over that lunatic in Florida who buried that little girl alive. There have always been crazy people and there always will be, but take comfort in the fact that MOST people are pretty normal. And caring makes you a good person, you have empathy, and hate to see others, even strangers, in pain. Take comfort in the fact that you CAN"T begin to understand these people.

what is wrong with people?

I think it is that we are in a society that is me oriented...me me me me, what can i get if i do this, its okay that will not hurt you .

I read a poem somewhere that explained live back in the day

you walked down hte cobbel road to get to the bus stop where you waited and talked and listened to each other. (mom did not drive you there) you learned comunication and patience

you got a a pair of new jeans for your birthday vs the hand me downs you got all year long (you learned to treasure what you did have)

dinner everyone sat and ate together as a family (the tv was turned off) ( you learned that family was priority)

Sundays were a day to dress up and go to church (you restored your faith and got to visit your friends for a cup of coffee and talk)

you shared a room with your siblilings (you learned that it was okay to share)

and on and on

so what is wrong with people we move at a spd of 100 mph when we only need to be going 30. never taking the time to enjoy the flowers or the sunsets

Sort of the same thing that happened after God threw Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden.

Eve picked the apple. Adam took a bite out of it. Adam got an Adam's Apple and they both got kicked out of the Garden of Eden.

Then they got Cain and Abel. Cain killed Abel. And they have been blaming the parents ever since.

Unless somebody comes up with an excuse that is bigger than "I guess the family had issues". I think it is a rerun.

Um, I hear ya. People just suck sometimes, no excuses needed.

Having said that, do a bit of a search online, Google, yahoo, wikipedia, sometime, and just look at how freaking complicated the human brain really is....the miracle is that we don't *all* go postal at some point in our lives.

(really, and thank your lucky stars that only some of us are running on the mental equivalent of Windows 95)

i wonder too why so many people are wacked out. my brother was murdered by 2 really mean people and they are taking the crazy way out.
people know now a days that they can do really messed up things to people and take the insanity plea.
makes you wonder why though, why did he kill his own family. i am sure that most people tht are murdered are killed by someone they know.

I blame society!!! We cant spank our kids, our kids listen to drug music, gang music, and dress like trash. and its all ok take it how ya want > the world is not going to get any better. This is why i will not bring a child into it

What is normal anyway? Maybe the problem is that everyone is trying so hard to be NORMAL and fit in that they go crazy trying. If everyone stopped trying to be normal and were happy to just be themselves, and we were happy to just let everyone be themselves, then maybe we wouldn't have these problems.

the world is in deep crises !!!
economic crises (poverty, inequality), politic crises (wars), environment crises (global warming, energy crises, nature and sea destruction), family and individu crises (divorces, more people get depressed, and your story emphasized this !!)
i think we need to "rebuild" our world...
i think the world today is full with greed, hatred and ignorance...
for me personally, i think it's too selfish-oriented, money-oriented...
i also want to live normal ! everybody want to !!
guess, "instead cursing the darkness, it's better to light a candle"...
