It depends on the competition. Like some competitions help people's dreams come true, and yet some competitions kinda push you and make you look like thrash. It is a joy to watch, and I believe that alot of people go and audition to singing competitions because it helps them express themselves.

Singing competitions is a great way of expressing one's self. It gives you a chance to let other people besides your family see what you can do. I think they are a great joy to watch. It is amazing just how many people out there have such strong and beautiful voices. There's nothing better than a great voice with a beautiful song.

I think you have to have patience and listen to a lot of bad singers before you get to that one jewel.
Now it you are talking about all these tv shows lately, that's just seems to be what everyone is into for the moment. The producers have to go for the ratings and find good singers to entertain us for an hour and make the competition seem close.

I only watch the auditions of American Idol to watch Simon shoot down contestants, but even that's starting to become old hat to me.
There needs to be a "battle of the bands" competition, similar to AI, where America can vote for the top rock band in the competition.

There are some mind-blowing wealthy Cher or Barbra Streisand songs that extremely pull that interest from way down deep on your soul. even if you do, to thy own self be real and sing something that you sense or extremely strikes you, because it is going to reflect once you belt it out. damage a leg...

If the singers are talented then it's all good. Otherwise, Simon Cowell better be there to disgrace them that's the money shot right there.
