Yep - both my babies were "pill babies" - and I was taking it properly too! My husband and I joked that it was a good thing I wasn't promiscuous in high school! Of course this was also years ago back in the dark ages with birth control was relatively new - I know things have progressed a long way since then however, if you think you are pregnant and are using your birth control properly stop everything and go to the doctor for a test - you wouldn't want to cause harm to yourself or your baby should you be pregnant! And it could be that the birth control is causing havoc with your hormones so your cycle may be out of whack - so I'd recommend going in for a check up - Good Luck and God Bless!

I must have a horseshoe up my butt because I have never been good at being on birth control. I've been pregnant 4 times in the last 10 years. I have unprotected sex (for the last 8 years and all pregnancies with the same man) One of the times I had forgotten to put my patch on for the next month and got pregnant 2 days later. I ended up miscarrying 7 weeks later. We actually tried again a year later and went off birth control and I got pregnant the next month, which I am currently 14 weeks. There are several factors. Sometimes a womens body isn't ready or is, sometimes the birth control isn't right and sometimes you just can't explain it.

Yes, three different times depending on what you consider. First time, my fiance and I were using condoms every time we had sex. I got pregnant but had a miscarriage. Second time I had gotten pregnant, I was on the patch. Not really anything you can do to mess that up. After using it for about 3 months, I had gotten pregnant with my oldest daughter. Third time I had gotten pregnant, I was using the Nuva Ring. Once again, not really anything you could do t omess that up. My doctor even inserted my first one. I asked my doctor how soon it would kick in he soon it would kick in and he said only a couple weeks. Well, I went back in 2 1/2 months later only to find out I was once again pregnant. This time, I got the mirena. It's an IUD. Hopefully, I won't get pregnant with this...lol

I got on the pill at 17 to regulate my periods. I took it at the exact same time everyday (9:30 in the morning, that was when I went to my second class of the day and I always took it then) and NEVER missed a day. Two months before my 19th birthday, I got pregnant! Like I said, I took at the same time and never missed a day for almost two straight years! I miscarried at 12 weeks. I then started depo prevra (the shot). I never missed it and was never late getting it. I know this sounds crazy (happening twice and all) but my son is a depo baby. When I discovered I was pregnant I also found out alot of the girls in my barracks (I was in the Navy at the time and though I was married, he was at another base so I lived in the barracks) who had children were also on depo when the conceived. The only thing that is 100% effective is abstinence.

There is only one form of birth control that is 100% effective. The pill is a good contraceptive, but there are always those people who still manage to get pregnant. (My mom as well as two friends from college come to mind). I know my friends at least took their Pill religiously.

I faithfully took my pill, at the same time, every morning. And you know what? I got pregnant THREE times! One I aborted but I had the other two.
Wanna hear a crazier story? Mom had her tubes tied, had them tied for about 16 years. SHE got pregnant! I have a four year old brother. Mom and I were pregnant at the same time! My daughter is only a few months younger than my brother.
Just goes to show...only abstinence is 100%!

yes birth control pills, ortho evra patch and depo prevara shot I have 5 children my first was on the pill, my second was planned, my 3rd was depo shot, my fourth was just an oops, and my fifth was on the patch now I have my tubes tied but I was told by my doctor that a tubal is only as effective as the patch so I am praying that I don't get pregnant again. I love my children to death but they are very expensive now a days.Hope this helps

Yes, I was on birth control. Several women in my area got pregnant while taking the same birth control pills. It makes me wonder if something was wrong with the "batch" The name of the pills were Alise or Elise, something like that.
