electrician and finish carpenter. electrician has the highest and most devices for available contractor to customer markup. High quality finish carpenters are hard to come by. Plumber decent pay for service calls... especially off hours and i'd put HVAC tech at the bottom of the list.
btw plumber and hvac tech are messy work :P

Well to be honest with you it all depends a carpenter and do side jobs like finishing framing restoring stuff like that. Hvac they can put up an ac unit and be there if things get dicey. electrican and fix the Hvac if anything goes wrong and give power to a house , building stuff like that, but a plumber has to get down in the mud but they make alot of money because no know really wants to do it so it all depends on what you are gonna do with that profession.

It depends on what skill level you're talking about. If they're all "masters" then a master electrician would most likely make the most, followed by master carpenter then master plumber. There's no similar status for HVAC techs, though. If it's entry level--- someone with some training and no/little experience--- they're all about the same.

huh.... I"m guessing the electrician... if they have qualifications for different qualities. *Am I the only person who thinks that this sounds like a making of a good joke, "An electrician, a plumber, a HVAC tech and a Carpenter walk into a bar..."
Sorry... I babble... ALOT!!! :D

that depends where in the country you are and whether you are talking union or non union. here in alaska we ALL make good money (I am an electrician).... I think the plumbers/pipefitters make a little more than we do, and we make more than the HVAC guys and the carpenters. Like I said though, that depends mostly on where you are in the country.
