Yeah. It was a great example of how romantic movies could be back in the 80s. Something that is lacking today

I really like that movie "Pretty In Pink" (1986) starring MOLLY RINGWALD as Andie Walsh; ANDREW MCCARTHY as Blane McDonnagh; JON CRYER as “Duckie“(Phil Dale) and JAMES SPADER as “Steff.”

Blane was cute and referred too as a 'richie;' but personally I thought he was a little spineless when it came to 'standing up for,' or 'sticking by' “Andie.” He started backing off soon as things got a little difficult. "Andie" I thought was smart, and creative; but can't say I liked her Prom dress she made. "Andie" (Molly Ringwald) showed great character, and she was gutsy enough to speak her own mind. Now “Blane” did manage to grow a spine near the end... when he stood up to his friend “Steff” (James Spager) letting him know: “”Andie” had you[Steff] figured out all along. She thinks you're a piece of sh_ _!" Blame told Steff.

My man "Duckie" was class act, and proved to be the bigger man in the end (I thought). I did feel sorry for him somewhat. He seem to love "Andie" or maybe it was just a mild obsession of his (I don't know). He had me worry for moment; but he was there for her, and stepped aside because he knew she still loved Blane..(now that takes class and lot of character too). I think even he knew "the heart wants, what the heart wants." But secretly I kinda wanted “Andie” to end up with “Duckie.” He looked so nice at the Prom, but I guess "Duckie" just didn't have enough duckets.

love it.....Duckie is so cute-what was she thinking picking Blain.

"Blain, Blain! His name is Blain? That's a name that's a household appliance."
