I am 2 months pregnant. I am so broken out on my face. I went to the Doctor but forgot to ask about what kind of face wash I can use. Has anyone had the same problem, talked to their Doctor and know what kind I can possibly use?

I was told while you are pregnant you shouldnt use anything with salicylic acid , Has anyone else been told this? If so what did you use?

Its your hormones. This will probably last your entire pregnancy. You will have better days than others. Until after you have your baby and your hormones level back out, then you will experience break outs. Keep your face clean but dont wash aggresively or use scrubs too much. They make acne worse. My dermatologist told me to use dove sensitive skin bar on my face or neutrogena oil free acne wash so I alternate the two because I have sensitive skin with acne and any medicated cream or wash can be harsh on my skin. This wont last forever hopefully but if its really bothering you and seems to keep getting worse then see a dermatologist.

I had the same problem...I just used anything with 2% salicylic acid in it. That is what the doc told me to do. I found some astringent at wal-mart with that in it, and put it on with a cotton ball after I washed my face at night. Try not to touch your face alot during the day, I always broke out on my chin from putting my hand on it. Make sure you won't have a reaction to it first though if you have never used it, I tried the benzoyl peroxide stuff (persa-gel) and it made me get a horrible rash all over my face for the rest of the day. Good Luck!!

Bless your heart! Aren't hormones great! Wash with Noxema Face wash for Blackheads and acne prone skin, drink lots and lots of water (good for you and the baby) - watch your diet, lots of fresh fruit and veges and stay away from anything fried - Bless your heart! And relax and know that this will get better as the pregnancy progresses and your hormones level off - Good Luck and God Bless!

some women get really nice clear skin while pregnant and others get the crap deal and break out. try using neutragina (not sure i spelled that right) products. they work good for me. also you can put rubbing alcohol on the pimples to dry them out.
