How old are they? Just take them, they have no choice in the matter.

Does your child understand what church is and what the benefits are to going? Does your child understand the importance of what he/she can learn at church? Why doesn't your child want to go to church?
Maybe you should first try talking to your child, but it's hard to say because you didn't specify the child's age. It would have to be handled differently depending on how much you can expect the child to understand.

First I need to know how old your child is. If he/she is under 12 you just take them with you. Do you have a signigicant other that will back you up.
I get my kids interested in it by finding all passages in the readers. Make it a positive experience. Go out to eat afterwards and make it family time.
Older than that you may have already missed the boat. Dependending how much aurhority you have over them.

You may think this is drastic but try it if you really want them to go with you. Say, "if you want to live in this house and under this roof, you are going to church - period". Explain that you can't save him/her, only God can. And if they are not close to God and spending a lot of time with God, they're vulnerable. On the other hand, find a good church with a contemporary children's ministry so the kid won't be bored to death.

Get him/her really interested. Talk to your child about it and truly ask them. Also: show by example! If you go to church and then tell your child how great it was, he/she will become curious. (Basically, show concern to your child.)
