There once was this guy who really liked this girl... They would hang out sometimes and they liked each other. The guy was a friend of the family and best friends with the girls brother. He valued their friendship very much. He also valued being a friend of the family even to the point where he was considered a son. Yet, he still really liked the girl... One day while evaluating his life he realized that he needed someone. Someone who was more than a friend, but a companion and lover. He then made a list of the possible girls he could see himself dating or further. Only two names got onto that list of who he knew. One was some other girl who he had been in close contact with for a while and the other was that girl. He thought long and hard of which to choose. The one who he kept in close contact for a while and liked or the girl whom he would rather have but may jeopardize the relationship with the family if something went wrong. After pondering, he asked not the girl whom he really liked but the other one who was, you could say, the runner up on the list. The eventually broke up but to this day he still really likes that unattainable girl... Or so he thought was unattainable. He live out his life as a lone bachelor, ever wondering what might have been if he would have just asked.... THE END
I never said it would be a happy story,, but its a story :-)

Nah, too long, but read some of German author Hans Christian Andersen's famous short stories... The Ugly Duclking, The Princess and the Pea, The Red Shoes, The Little Matchstick Girl (very sad :()....it is a different kind of love, not between males and females, but inner love, and your surroundings....

In 2001, I moved to a new city and went to a new highschool. It was my junior year and I was so popular at my last school, I was even going to graduate 5th in my class, but reality woke me up when my parents spit up and we moved.
I started in quick and strong in all my classes. Sitting up front, answering all the questions the teacher would allow. Never to my knowledge, someone was watching me.
I started dating again. A jock. Dumb inconciderate jock. His mom did my hair and kept me cute so that was a plus. He was a cheater and a liar. That junior prom he broke up with me and went out with a girl he told he would go to the prom with before I moved there. Silly me, a week later we got back together. Still, someone was watching me. Seeing, all the pain and tormoil I was enduring.
Our senior year came and just couldn't take it anymore. I broke up with him. I found out who was watching me, although I couldn't possibly have know, because everyone always thought he was a loser, the kid who slept in the back of the class, he had been awake this whole time waiting for his opportunity to treat me like a queen.
He did, he does. Once we started dating, sure there were problems, but he always seemed make me feel better. Sometimes his car wouldn't work, he would walk to where ever I was to meet me.
Sometimes he would visit me while I was asleep and leave me a cookie a candy bar.
Yeah there's more, but that's for later.

sorry everyone is being so rude... i'll tell you about my first boyfriend in 9th grade...
well i knew this boy a little.. he was an acquaintance, and one day his best friend came up to me and said he had something for me.. he handed me a piece of paper, and on it was an amazing drawing.. like i mean really good.. art school good.. and it was of a white easter lily (don't really know the technical name).. and it was signed with his (the boyfriend)'s name... so i went up to him and thanked him and he told me that he really liked me and wanted to hang out sometime.. so i didn't really get that he liked me cause i'm kind of dense so i said sure thinking that we were just going to be friends... later that day his brother picked me up (we couldn't drive obviously) and we went to his house... he lived near a beach and we walked over there and talked.. and then, on our walk back, we stopped at a foot bridge and it was getting dark and he said he really liked me and he kissed me...
isn't that a nice story?
oh, and later on i realized i had mentioned that white lilies are my favorite flower, because we disected flowers in my bio class and we looked at that kind... so he heard and remembered..
the reason i used this story is beacuse i've never been in love (i'm 18).. but it's still a cute story even though it wasn't real love

yes. I met someone who was in town for a class. It was love and lust at first sight. Up front this person told me they were only in town for a month. We saw each other almost everyday for that month, but it seemed like a lifetime. Remember it is not the quantity of an experience but the quality of it. I still have fond memories of this experience thirty years later.

Enjoy the first chapter, or the whole novel as written so far.
