what are some baby boy names that are not really weird but pleasant and not exactly the same as what you would hear nowadays

Unique doesn't have to be weird!
When I was pregnant with my son I had the same feeling. I didn't want a Johnny or Adam. I wanted something unique - easy for a girl but not for a boy! As I'm sure you know...hence the question.
We ended up naming our son, Hunter. A nice strong masculine name. Plus, kids can't shorten it and coming up with something mean may be a little harder.
For our next one we like the name Roman.
Other choices:
Isaac
Xaiver
Aidan
Blake
Elijah
Nathanial
We had the names worked out like this: Isaac Xavier, Aidan Blake, Elijah Nathaniel. But, you could mix them up any way - they are good names. I also heard the name Cyprus a few months ago - its also nice and strong.
I wanted to use the name Canaan so bad! But, I couldn't convince my husband. You know Canaan...the land that Moses was leading the Jews to (ie. milk and honey flowed)...they were leaving Egypt for Canaan and crossed the Red Sea...so if you are Christian this is a unique name.

Beware of using odd names. Bullies will tease a kid with an unusual name and people will not be able to spell it or pronounce it. It will become a burden. When choosing a name, think of one that will look good on a college or job application.
