The highest grossing movie of all time was Titanic but it isn't even in the running as far as being the best. It made $600 million in thaters because teen girls went a dozen times, lol. The best movie of all time by far is BRAVEHEART. There are no negatives at all. Love honor trechery murder patriotism ...it has everything for everyone. Personally my 2nd fave is UNFORGIVEN with Clint.

I would have to say Gone With the Wind. Excellent acting, perfect choices for the main characters. The movie actually followed the book very closely.

The American Film Institute (AFI) voted "Casablanca" as the best movie of all time...I personally didn't think it was THAT great, but I guess for the time it was pretty good. I think that "Gone With The Wind", "The Shawshank Redemption" and "Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King" are all really good movies for their respective genres.

Forgetting it's a Brad Pitt movie...everyone must watch "A River Runs Throught It." Not only is the story funny and heart wrenching, the scenery is beautiful and the score haunting. That is inspired by a true story makes it all the better.

Casablanca was a great movie.
When someone asks me what my favorite movie is I always say Big with Tom Hanks. I don't know what it is about that movie, but I love it. There are so many that I like though--I could go on forever.
