I'm looking for a way for me (13 yrs old) to earn $1500 dollars by the end of September. I have a blog http://mrbiased.blogspot.com but I can't seem to make much money with it. FYI: The reason for the money is to get a $1500 iMac computer for filmmaking. Thanks!

Yeah, it's a crazy amount of money and an iMac is my only option. I could knock a few numbers off the price tag by getting it refurbished. I'm currently working on an amateur film on my PC, and when I finish filming and editing (I'm writing the script right now), I'll be looking for ways to market. Now the reason that I need an iMac by September is because that is when the (very) amateur film festivals begin. I can wait another year but Mac (and PC) computers will only become newer, the older ones less compatible, and more expensive. "How do I make money" is probably the most asked and most mystified question on Yahoo! Answers, and I, like so many others, am also seeking an answer.

I admire your determination to raise funds for your computer, i do not know much but have you thought of alternatives to a 1500 computer does your film making project have to be done on a mac, can't you opt a second hand machine, can you rent one or use scholl facilities, you might want to increase the amount of people visiting your blog and encourage small retail companies to advertise on your blog for a small fee of even $30.00 who knows if you get enough companies to advertise you might start to make some real money its kinda hard with your blog, but if thats your passion so be it i have given a solution but whatever you decide its your passion, try offer more on this blog and see if you can get people to advertise, at 13 you have a vision which is really good should you fail at your attempt at least you will know what went wrong and you can getup and re try.

By the end of september eh, well, when I was 13 and 14, I mowed lawns in the summer, I had a grand total of three different lawns to mow each week, and those got me $300. Now just imagine if you mowed lawns full time, mowing four or five lawns a day, five days a week.

have you ever thought of babysitting? you can make very good money doing that and it is a job you can do at age 13! another suggestion, maybe the sources you could actually earn this money from will not look at your blog. try other things to make yourself more available! for example, make banners for doing yard work! then more people will be able to help you! good luck!!!

What is it with all these kids tonight wanting to make all kinds of money this summer?
Mow grass, clean houses, wash cars, sell lemonade. You could bake cakes, muffins, or cookies for your neighbors during the day.

Maybe your blog isn't good enough. Do you check your spelling and grammer there? It may be an important part of making a good career.
