I actually wrote a poem long ago that does exactly what you are asking.

BLUE
©8-2-2001

Blue is azure, indigo, and aquamarine
Blue is the water that keeps the grass green

Blue is the rain that gives flowers life
Blue is the widow who once was a wife

Blue is believing you've lost the fight
Blue is being blind to the light

Blue is the sadness that makes you cry
Blue is the ocean, blue is the sky

Blue is the Navy that sails the blue seas
Blue is the river that flows through the trees

Blue is the plumage of the chirping jay
Blue is forget-me-nots that bloom in May

Blue is blueberries, bluebells, bluebonnets, Blue Boys
Blue is sapphire, cerulean, periwinkle, turquoise

It really depends on which shade you are talking about.
Navy- School Uniforms
Dark Blue (Regular)- Makes me think of the ocean
Usuall Blue- Jeans
Baby Blue- Sky
Turquoise- Swomp Water
Light Blue- My sister's bathing suit

May seem a little weird, but you asked!

Close your eyes...and walk into cool water on a sunny day...feel the water surround you in an amniotic sense you are 'feeling' the colour blue~
Walk with someone you care about at dusk in Autumn..again eyes closed...feel the chill in the air, the crispness and the warmth beside you...you are again feeling the colour blue.
Be alone at night with a breeze coming through a moonlit window...eyes now open in the darkness......and you are feeling ...the colour blue...you're alone......yes,...that is blue, feeling many blues..... you have fortune to even wonder....therefore it's imprinted upon your soul and heart.

Blue is the color of my lover's eyes or a cloudless sky's hues.
The tint of my favorite jeans, of elvis's famous suede shoes.

It's Picasso's sad period or maybe even mine,
On ruled paper, it's the color of the line.

blue.. calm, melancholy, listless, sad, yet at the same time somehow uplifting.. and of course it depends on the shade of blue too.. darker shades have a more ominous feeling while lighter shades have a more calm/uplifting feeling.. and I think the best is the blue/grays.. so quiet and sad <3

i wish you would have given more detail..
the color blue psychologically is connected to thinking, serenity, calmness, and at times can be connected to depressive thoughts if someone were to view a darker shade for a long time..
however it is my favorite color!
