Get out of there now!!!! Don't believe the stuff he puts you down for it is a control issue for his non-existent self esteem. Don't feel sorry for yourself use the anger and the pain to become even stronger!!!

I have been in a verbally abusive marriage for 37 years. I am finally able to stand on my own and get out of it. Don't hesitate or think things will change. Get out while the going is good. They don't change. They make you think they are changing but as soon as you are back together, the same old routines start.

Yes!! I grew up in a verbally/sexually abusive home. I then went to a verbally abusive guy and was with him for 20 long years. :( I am now away from that jerk and am with the most awesome guy in the world.

Yes and it turned into all abuses.I sure lived and learned through that awful time.It didn't start out that way.I have an abusive back ground starting before I was old enough to go to school but none of them were my parents.

Yes, I'm not gonna waste my time describing it........but I will NEVER allow that to happen again..........and hope that anyone that is IN THIS TYPE of relationship...........get out, ASAP.........

yeah, and then hit begun to hit me, and a year later he tried to kill me , and my 5 year old son. he is in prison, my advice is leave now
