I guess you could call this a regional question, but none of our classic rock stations play any hair metal bands. Am I missing something here? I mean, the big hair era was basically rock n' roll taken to it's highest point and wrongly labeled "metal" to begin with. They have no problem playing the same songs from Pink Floyd and U2 until the moon rises, but you can forget about Cinderella and Great White.

Both of which were two hugely underrated blues-based hard rock bands. Granted however you will hear the rare Bon Jovi tune from time to time, but it's ALWAYS "Livin' on a Prayer". What gives?

Define Classic. For some, that's the Buddy Holly era. Others, Elvis. Still others, the Beatles.

Sirus has an 80's Hair Band Station. Perhaps you should check it out! The station is called Hair Nation.

Because advertisers are still aiming at the baby boomers. In a few years when they start to die or at least get too old to buy a lot of stuff, then the subsequent generations (i.e., that came of age in the mid 80s to early 90s) will be targeted, and you'll get to hear all the Bret Michaels you want.

Most of the radio station play musics that the audience ask for it, why don't you call and ask for the record that you will like to listen to? You will be glad you did.
