No offense and not to one answer either, but if you mean potatoes and a shake as in Milk shake YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS I love it.
Actually the salt/sweet is enjoyable,,,for me,,, and I have an anaolgy to offer.
Long ago, in Pennsylvania was a restaurant.... Seven sweets and seven sours. They served a menu that offered those varieties as anyone might want to create a meal.
I love food, and though I don't eat as I should, I think exploring our taste buds and the stimulation of different foods and spices combined is a good thing.
BTW,, I also have no aversion to one food touching another on a plate, or ingesting them on the same forkfull...smiles.

I don't know if you mean "Shake" or "Steak" or something else but Fries go with anything in my book so you are safe.

I wouldn't enjoy that. The salty sweet thing makes me sick...unless it's a carbonated beverage.
