In the US, 17 is considered a minor.
Other countries may vary.
Age of consent may be younger in some states, in Canada, age of consent is 14. Most states allow minors to have a drivers license, though in some it is provisional and subject to conditions.
In the US, you must be 21 in most states to drink.
And for legal purposes, you must be 18 to sign most legal documents, etc; some things you must be 21, and occassionally 25.
Short answer though ... 17 is minor, 18 is adult.

depends on what you are talking about
if it is overall. then yes, it would be 21 until you are not a minor.
but for, like, smoking...the legal age for smoking is 18
the legal age for *cough* sex depends from state to state, it could be from 16 to 18, or im not sure if even more. hawaii used to be 14 years old, but i believe they changed it to 16. And this is still if the partner is under 21.
for drinking is still 21
so baasically it is 21. so yes 17 is still a minor

I am not sure the answer to that question because it is a two sided opion but in this case and from things that I have read about law while in college and highschool at the age 14 you are able to move out of ur parents home and get a place of ur own and a job so I am not sure.

well it depends on where you live i live in Florida and yea a minor is 18 and younger so i say in this state and most states yea you are a minor in till you get 18 yrs old.

Yeah....your supposed to be 18 to be NOT minor. :D So yep..a 17 year old IS a minor...Well...in the U.S.A yeah...not sure where you live...
