I work in a restaurant as a cashier. My co- worker flirts with me all the time but is also a total jerk with me. He blames me whanever he makes a mistake and tells me that I am too slow, to fast, that my handwriting is horrible....etc. (you can imagine that). He is in a higher position than I. I need his help sometimes, and I don't really like to make enemies with my co- workers. What should I do?

He is trying to degrade your confidence and goad you into dating him. Look, he already has you thinking about him when he isnt around. He is hoping someday you might mistake your strong feelings about him for lust or a crush which is why he also flirts with you. Legally, if he is making it hard for you to work and you have made it clear that his advances are unwanted but he continues, then he is harrassing you. Talk to a supervisor. The super might not fire him on the spot but he/she will deffinately keep an eye out for proof of the accusation because if harrassment continues under the knowledge of the establishment then you can sue the restaraunt.

Honestly, get another job lined-up, then quit ...
Six months later, after he's developed alot of new enemies, return with a scribe (dental tool) and put a pin-hole leak in his lower radiator hose. While it's sitting, his car will lose no radiator fluid and therefore produce no telltale puddle underneath, but when he starts it the cooling system will pressurize, he'll lose fluid and eventually his entire coolant system will run low, causing his engine to overheat and seize - quite possibly while he's driving out in the middle of nowhere. :).
The best part is, since he has no fluid left in his system when this happens he'll get no high temperature indication and won't have a clue until it's too late. -And it only takes a second or two to make the pin-hole with that scribe ... :)
Then after he either pays $5000 for a new engine or has to buy a new car he can try to figure-out which of his new enemies to blame - and probably get fired for whatever he does next as a result.
That's what I'd do.

My girlfriend had the same problem as you, she did not like the fact that her boss was blaming her whenever something goes wrong, he would sometimes ask her out to eat with him after work at about 1 in the morning. I was not really mad. I would give her advice about not letting the job go. But after awhile she got fed up with him and quit the job right in front of his face. He still calls her to kiss *** to my girl. Look for another job because it's not worth risking your life over a dumb jerk who tries to take advantage of you.

You might want to consider finding another job. Also if he is a manager I'm sure there is a policy against manager and employee relationships. If you are in a relationship with him both of you could get fired. So to keep from making an enemy you should find another job elsewhere.

Smile, be pleasant and know that everyone else knows he's a jerk. Just don't flirt back. And remember, when you leave that restaurant, you have a real life as a nice person. When he leaves, he's still a jerk.

I'd say, go over his head & talk to the boss about it. cause, he's abusing his position over you. & it seems like somewhat of a harassment issue.
It doesn't matter if you make him mad....You really need to fix this. It may get worse if you don't.

Refuse any of his flirtatious advances. Since he is acting like an *** and using you as a scapegoat as part of his" kiss-butt-and-step-on-everyone-you-have-to-to-get-to-the-top" form of 'professionalism', then tell him that you expect him to act in a professional manner with you and any future flirtations will be reported as sexual harassment.

Then he doesn't really like you for you he's just a jerk, because he just doesn't want to be embarrased about having a gf, or he's just a player that doesn't LIKE any girl he just wants them for there ...
