There are 3 kinds of love, the eros (romantic love to opposite sex), the agape (holy love or best decribed in 1Corinthians chapter 13) and the philia (love to your family and friends). Love is pure and good in real essence. It only hurt so much when you don't get it back... especially when we do give it all but was just taken for granted. Love is wonderful. What makes it bad is the person him/herself who doesn't know how to give it back.

I believe that love is wanting the best for another person without regard to your own well being. True love would be when both sides want the best for each other.
If you really hurt from a lost love, I think it is because they didn't give back the way you gave.

love mostly hurts because sometimes the other person doesn't feel the same way even if they say both boys and girls can say that they love you and not mean it but if you do mean and you say it to everyone then thats ridiculous because then your bf/gf will never be able to love someone. Love also hurts when that dick head does something like cheats and that hurts both sexes period. any more advice ya need e-mail moi! St@C3Y
