Who do you think was the better dancer? Gene Kelley or Fred Astaire? Why?

I enjoyed them both - Both were excellent
Dancers, But the edge goes to Fred Astaire.

Gene Kelly all the way!!! He was just a fantastic dancer!!!

Fred Astaire... well I am not really sure who he is.... But still out of those actors of the past, I'd say Gene Kelly is the best!

They were both good, but in different ways. Fred Astaire's style was more smooth and sophisticated, whereas Gene Kelly's style was energetic and athletic. Overall I prefer Fred Astaire's films.

That's a hard one. Fred always seemed relaxed and good at what he did. Gene Kelly worked very hard to perfect each number giving Debbie Reynolds blisters in all those rehearsals. I think each was fantastic in his own way but I do like the versatility of Gene Kelly.

Fred Astaire was the best dancer of all time. I absolutely LOVE him. I wish that I had lived when he was in his prime, so I could've seen him dance in person.

wow that is a tough one... i liked them both but gene kelley was a little more conservative than fred... he was all over the place. i say fred was the best dancer.. but was more of a leading man type
