Actually it can be something you won't wear everyday but just not a wedding gown because of course once you've bought one you're not likely to ever spend more than that. But I'm just curious because yesterday a DJ on the radio asked this question and a caller said she spend $2,000 on a shirt from Saks Fifth Avenue and he asked if she still had it and her reply was "I think I gave it away -- I think I gave it to Good Will" and my jaw just dropped. Part of me even thinks it was all just bragging. But how about you? What's the most you've ever spent?

I'm embarrased to admit it, but I bought a pair of $850 shoes not too long ago. My handbag cost a even more. Do those count as clothing though? I have a dress that used to belong to Betty Paige. I bought that at an auction for $900, but no way would I pay that much if it hadn't belonged to her. Other than that, I try to stay under the triple digit mark

O my soul, $2000!!! freakin' gosh!!
I don't live in a really high end clothing shoppe area (it's getting better) but i did spend $65 on a pair of AE jeans. It almost killed me, cuz that was my last little bit b4 i quit babysitting, and i knew i wouldn't have any more money 4 a looong time.

Try not to over spend on clothing but if I do like something I would at least spend once a month on an expensive (out of the ordinary) clothing. $60.00 on a blouse, $58.00 jacket, $30.00 shirt.
Thought only super stars spend $2000.00 on shirts, etc.
That's ridiculous!

Besides army uniforms that my husbands owns, the new ACU's a pretty pricey you know. mhmmm, i would say some 100$ Cowboyboots about 50$ for some Ralph Lauren stuff. i made my dauhgters pageant dress and was offered 600$ for it , thats the most expensive thig in the house

$65 on calvin klein jeans. wore them 2 times, it got warmer (summer-june) and I found out I was pregnant. Gained 52 lbs-almost got back into them after (by 10 lbs) found out I was pregnant again. Now the girls are 5 and 3 and I am not having any more children, but I am still 15 lbs from those freakin jeans and by the time I get into them, they might be in style again, so I still have them. I cant figure out why i have them. torture myself? heehee oh---and a $2,000 shirt is just ignorant. my stinkin word.

Somewhere between 90 and 120 bucks for custom made dress shirts. It was money well spent too.
