I'm serious. YAHOO/ANSWERS should be for everyday folk. It should not turn into a forum for sports figures, movie stars, and other Public Figures to air their favorite causes.
What's next? TV Evangelists? The President of France? GW Bush?
Osama bin Laden? Soccer Players?
Tom Cruise asking us why the world hasn't accepted Scientology? Angelina and Brad asking us how long to breast feed their baby? Or Jay Leno asking us for the funniest jokes we've heard lately? Or some scientist fishing for new concepts about Quantum Physics?!?
These high-galutin' Gosh-Aalmighty rich and powerful people have their OWN folkways and biways, to which We commoners are not privy.
So why should we let them in here?
Let's keep YAHOO for the
Yahootians and leave the so-called Culture leaders all by their lonesome.
They must be jealous--That we have some place, where we can meet each other, without them getting any ego-worship. Without them conditioning our minds.
Let them answer, NOT ASK!

Maybe my point wasn't clear, but UCSteve said it for me. Are these knowledgeable public figures--people of accomplishment--going to Fully participate, by answering OUR questions?
It doesn't look like they do any answering, to me. they just come in here with "a cause"-like their personal Crusade:-education, or entepreneurship, or African malaria, and then they're gone.
I know they are busy people, but if they want to come to the beach, they ought to do more than just stick their toes in the water. They are trying to "raise our consciousness" by buying into their own viewpoints. Thus, they aren't really asking questions, but rather setting up little deates with hundreds of replies.

I don't see any harm in it, and it can be kinda fun for those who like that sort of thing. Not many rich and/or famous people will want to spend much time here anyway. I do, however, think that the YA team needs to find some better rating system so that interesting answers can be more easily found. Featured questions get thousands of answers – so who wants to wade through thousands of answers trying to find a couple dozen good ones? We need to be able to rate EVERY answer – not just vote on a “best one” or give thumbs up to one. This problem will become more acute it more celebrities do start getting involved.

Do you want to GROW? Life is simply a "Learning Curve" People like Celebrities, are people like you and I only they have been doing something that is obviously successful to get in there position. People regard them as God. They have the disiplain and knowledge to be successful. They are just like us... If you were at the Learning "Curve" as Tom Cruise as an example, would you be able to handle it? If your not, the stress would get the best of you. Experience gives you the confidence. People criticise Tom Cruise, but I assure you, it takes a very able person to be in his position, the average person would fail miserably, if they found them selves all of a sudden there. People in that position, all of a sudden usually blow it don't they? Or they commit suicide... Lets learn from them, who wants to be just average? Average is the 95% that aren't successful...
95% of most people fail in life at what ever profession, because they don't take the time to Grow and learn a profession and they don't handle the factors in there mind like "Procrastination".
If you GROW your income will grow. If you want to have what you want in life you have to disciplain your self to learn and Grow.
Just like someone, that is successful in MLM or a Corporate success, each has learned there profession well and they are simply successful as they are obviously doing something right.
We each can thrive in what ever field we want to be successful in as Long as we GROW. Why not have the successful communicate. They probably speak the truth, we will probably disagree, but maybe at some point in our life what they said , might hit home. When it does; we hit there spot on the "Learning Curve". People don't necessarily agree with someone higher up the "Learning Curve". We are on this level to learn ya know...

You sound a little crazy, ya know. Although, I somewhat agree, but really, who cares. I just feel sorry that the celebs won't even be able to read all 1 million answers when they ask a question. Seems like everyone loves celebs.......maybe you're the jealous one.

Actually I think it's kind of amusing....like who writes the questions? Their publicist? And do they care enough to read the replies? Or do they have their "people" do it? Hmmmmm.......but it really doesn't bother me that much considering some of the silly questions on here.....maybe celeb will come up with a good one that you might want to answer someday.

Jim, I agree with you on this one. this forum is for the everyday people of the world. I am so sick of Tom Cruise trying to jam his religion down everyones throats.

I don't care about celebrities in here asking questions. What I'd like to see is celebreties ANSWERING a few of my questions.
