You didn't specify what you were using this for. If you were using it in a desktop, Western Digital has a 500GB SATA drive and a 320GB EIDE drive. If you are talking servers, you need to indicate your configuration as there are many different options.

the biggest gigabyte harddrive would be 500GB but for some money you can by a 1TB (1000GB) harddrive

I think sony or toshiba made one with 20 tb (terabytes)

I HAVE CHECKED AROUND & FOUND SO FAR I BELIEVE THAT 550gigs is the largest. i think tiger direct.com has them.check em out..
