Many people older than 11 don't know their timestables here are some ideas though...most sites say there is no easy or quick way
create a poem for some times tables, the 2s are easiest. Flash cards are also a good idea, try it with a friend, that way it is more fun.
Perhaps try to visualise silly things with the numbers eg 6x7 = 42
6 monkeys running after 7 elephants make 42 big wet puddles. It doesn't have to be true just bizzare or strange.

Have someone quiz you repeatedly. Spend 30 minutes a day going thru the tables. Have your friend ask random equations at a fast pace. When you're riding in the car is a good opportunity.
This is one thing that works better with help from a friend.

Find a fun way to remember.. like 9 times anything is easy.. hold out both of your hands.. and say you want to know 9 x 5 on one hand count to five....fold the finger on the number you want... in this case being your thumb... on one hand you have 5 fingers up and one the other you have 5 ... the answer is 45 .. it works with anything times 9 I promise

unfortunately there is no good way..but for me I used to write themdown from 1 to 11 or 12 on an A4 paper everyday a few times until I learned them by heart. That's how I learned them but you can develop your own way like using flashcards...
