For all those comicbook fans out there who thought that the X3 movie was totally wrong. Phoenix never joined the brotherhood and she killed herself. Wolverine didn't kill her. I thought they could have also introduced Havoc and Gambit in this movie, well maybe in X4 (if there is one). It was an awesome movie, but tell me your thoughts on the movie.

I thought it was great. I don't see any reason why it should have slavishly followed comic-book continuity. It's good that they did something new with those plot elements: what's the point in just making the comic book into a movie? You want the comic book plot, read the comic book. I don't want to sit through a movie knowing exactly what's going to happen..

Magneto should not have feared the Jean in the movie. He has moved mountains and his magnetism is much greater than her telekinesis. Also what is the deal with him letting Jean kill Charles, they are the best of friends despite have opposing view points. Also Charles should have been able to stop Jean. He is still one of the strongest if not strongest telepaths and could knocked her out. What is the deal with Wolverine still not knowing any martial arts? And the last climatic battle was a piece of crap. All of Magneto's mutants sucked and Jean killed most of them. The battle between Iceman and Pyro sucked big time. And don't get me started on Juggernaut. They turned one of the X:Men's long running foes into a shadow of his comic book self. The movie was a colossal disappointment to me. Oh yeah, it was also too short.

There won't be an Xmen 4, it will be a Wolverine spinoff next.

Yes, they ruined the story and kept Gambit, the absolutely best character, out.

havoc and gambit are not important to the phoenix storyline. nightcrawler would have been more a propos.
