i just had a bad flashback when i burned my popcorn.

Yup, the smell of burning wood reminds me of when i burned my parents neighbors fence down.

Most of the things that I smell bring back good memories. It's funny though...your burnt popcorn actually brought back a bad memory of when I was younger...I was peering into a bag of microwave popcorn while I opened it and the steam burned the tip of my nose. Wow...I still remember that...how stupid...and how painful.

Yes bananas bring me back to a bout of flu I had in my childhood. I developed and ear infection and the antibiotics they gave kids then was a liquid that smelled and tasted like bananas.
Well with the flu and the dizziness I was barfing like a sailor on shore leave. I cannot stand the smell of the dreaded puke fruit some 40 years later.

I have the opposite effect, i smell things that bring back wonderful memories most of the time, i cant place what the smell even is, but I will just start remembering soemthing and I will be like "hey, i know that smell", but cant place exactly what the smell was. Its really crazy.

No but some smells bring me good memories.
The smell of burning leaves brings me back to my childhood raking leaves to the curb with my dad and then burning them.
The smell of my mom frying chicken Sunday afternoon is another good memory.

the only things i can think of bring back good memories but nothing is hitting my smelling sense right now. there was that one time with a mix of scented candles and ky jelly aroma though.

Yeah, nacho Doritos and beer, teenage bad night that still haunts me to this day. And antifreeze, still makes chill bumps after being i a wreck and having hot antifreeze dribbling in my mouth and nose.

yeah. various perfumes. some outside crisp fall smell.
hate memories. almost as much as i miss the people
