AARP says "50 and older", which I think would be the definitive source. Another definition is more relative: "A person of relatively advanced age, especially a person at or over the age of retirement."

Depends on how long you are expected to live I guess. I was slated to kick the bucket at 26 I am now much older. I became a senior citizen when I was 18, 19, or 20. I have died 2 times in this life so far so I guess that throws a kink into it as well, so maybe I am just a youth again, but in comparison to other folks I am an adult not yet of classic senior citizens age which is usually around 65. Back in the times of Noah & all them dudes if you can believe it they lived for hundreds of years. What they gauged as seniors citizens is unknown.

You can join AARP at age 50. You can get into the movies cheaper at age 55. You can get a Golden Ager Pass for all the US National Parks at age 62. You can get Medicare at age 65. See, it all depends on the criteria. How you feel has nothing to do with when you qualify. Many senior citizens are still out playing golf and tennis!

if youre lucky enough to be a native american 50 to get some benifits from your tribe,like free cable and water for others to get resturant discounts ect it usually 55 to 60. BUT your only as old as you feel
