My favorite book was called, "From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler."
I can't remember who wrote it, but it was about a girl and her little brother who ran away from home and lived in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. How they got by, and such. It was wonderful, and really sparked my imagination about things.
I have managed to find it a couple of times since then, and re-read it. It's still wonderful.

Well, I really liked The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe by CS Lewis. Totally transformed me to another time and place. Also enjoyed The Velveteen Rabbit, although it always did (and still does) make me cry.
