African women and children have ZERO defense - they have NO HELP at all besides the UN who can only do so much. They NEED help...Angelina Jolie is fighting for the rights of these country's in need....we need to take a page from her book and open our eyes. There is an atrocity taking place and people are looking the other way. One guy said to me we need to take care of our own first - our own are free, have law, police, hospitals, human rights, a judicial system, our own can fight! These African woman and children are defenseless. How can they fight off 1 or 10 men with guns? HOW? Now I ask you people, what can we do? Just let it happen and go about our easy life. They have no food, no water. Baby girls are raped and ripped wide open, left for dead on the dirt. These men GANG rape women and leave them for dead after days of torture and abuse. Putting guns up women’s vaginas and pulling the trigger!! BARBIC. How can we make this issue go away in Africa & the world. Human Rights for all

I feel for the women, children and even men all over the world that do not have the lives that I am privileged enough to have here in Americas, but we have tons of people here in our own country that are beaten, raped, and murdered every day. Why don't we start by helping them. If we can help them first, the they can help us to help other countries.

Well, what do YOU suggest we do? There are so many things to do and worry about all over the place and we have to set priorities. The only thing I think will be best, if this is your only or primary cause, is to organise an organization, like Greenpeace or like many of the Christian missions in Africa, get a bunch of people to join you & go over there and help them spiritually, medically and politically.

No, I am not the first person who has thought of this. Many organizations are already over there doing this very thing- organizations like Christian Children's Fund, Greenpeace, etc. There's a missionary group that visited my church last week & told about how they have a house over there in Africa, I guess it's a rather large house, in which they take only abandoned children with Aids & adopt them, providing them medical care & a religious education.

Do your research. Go on Google. Call these organizations or write them. Obviously YOU feel motivated by this cause like they did in order to form their nonprofit organizations. If you feel so compelled, you could join one of them. Many of us cannot because we are bound with obligations here.

It's ao easy to always look to someone else to solve our problems. Each country must police itself. If women are being raped, where are the police ? If the police are corrupt where are the honest people ? If the entire country is corrupt, the government, the politicians, the armed forces, the people, then the only hope is to get out quick.
