Can you play some on on a nintindo DS if they don't have the same game as you do?

This is a yes and no scenario. Some games allow you to let your friends play without the game, however you lose out. Some games only allow 2 people with the game to play. Look at the back of the box. There is two types of picture. One is with two Ds', both with black screens, and the other is the same picture except with white screens. Basically read the box.
