My cable box broke, and i can't getanother for 13 days!!! Thats like no tv for 13 days!!!! And all my friends are busy, and with the street i live on, i always get stared at when i get the mail cuz i'm like the only white girl on my street, HELP!!!

There are so many things to do other than watch t.v. Read a book, draw a picture, start a journal. People watch.Clean and reorganise your room. You will be amazed at how much more time there seems to be in a day when it is not wasted in front of the t.v. Bust best of all..music.. music...music. And as for being the only white girl on the street, holding yourself aloof will just make people think you are stuck up.Just relax, be yourself..and you might be surprised by a new friend.

Honey....you will survive without tv for 13 days, I promise. If you have to, go to a friends house or to another family members house. Or maybe just be addicted to the internet for two weeks instead. But you CAN live without cable, I promise.

go on the computer, read a book.
why does it matter if people stare at you when you get the mail? how do you know they're staring because you're the "only white girl"? Race isn't that important.
maybe make an effort to befriend some neighbors, if they don't appear threatening (don't endanger yourself by befriending a stranger)

Read! Go get yourself a pair of roller skates, four wheel kind or Roller Baldes. The four wheel kind are easier to stand up in. Take it slow and get out there in the world! Try different types of hobbies, paiinting (you can get books, Drawing (you can get books) make beaded jewelry (books out there for some complicated time consuming COOL things), clean your house/room. Write letters to friends whom haven't heard from you in a while they will like to hear from you! Go to the Mall and go window shopping!

perhaps the question should be --what do you do whan you have tv--? the answer than is easy---it is -I do nothing . i do not think--i learn little --i get hooked on silly things-- i do not do things i ahve always wanted to do--etc etc.
i have not had a tv for years--yes i can watch dvd's and thats cool--and yes--there are i am sure some shows i would meiss --news--but i can get most on computer--and documentruies--the rest is just mush--
if you are asking this question-i think perhaps --you should not get it fixed---- cheers

I have errands that I have to run. I don't watch much T.V. anyway. Why not read, or rent DVDs that you can play on your computer? I mean, if you have a DVD player..otherwise just find some free movies to down load..
