Immigrants should not be put in jail for looking for talking differently. They look different because they are different. Wouldn't this country look bland if everyone looked the same? They talk differently because they are from somewhere else, and their English will likely be accented -- but the US has so many native accents. There is the New Yorker, the Brooklyn, the Flatbush, the New England, the Texas, the Oklahoma, the West Coast, etc.etc. each of which has a regional accent. But guess what? They all know how to use a spell checker! Regardless of their accent.

I bet if you trace your family back far enough, ( unless you are Native American ), you will find your family did not originate from here. Actually, they have found a skull, Kennewick man, in Washington state that is Asian and is older than any Native American history or bones found. They figure Asians came across Alaska and Russia back when the two continents were still as one or closer and froze over. But the Native Americans are trying to dispute this. Check it out. You can about guess the implications towards the Natives if it is found out that they were not the first settlers here. I almost forgot my point.... most of us a direct descendants of immigrants. We are the "Melting pot of the world'. Besides all that, we are all God's children. No one should be jailed for looking or talking different.

No way but I do think that if they are coming over to this country and are not doing anything positive like getting a job to support their family's then they should be thrown in jail. There is already enough drugs and violence in America to have other people come here and bring more. There should be a work release program for immigrants to come here and make a good living for their family's.

They're not putting immigrants into jail for being different. But rather entering into this country illegally and forcing wages down through illegal employment.
We're not letting illegals come in from Afganistan or Saudi Arabia. So we shouldn't let the Mexican people get any special treatment.
My mother came here legally, they should do the same... And better their home country.

Being different, is what makes the world alot brighter, I'm happy to have some immigrants, but, I don't think it's right that they get more benefits than American, we build this country and some not all immigrants are destroying what we call home.

If people were dumped in jail for that then lots of people would be in jail.
That makes no sense, when someone immigrates to America, it's a given that they're going to be different.

No way!! You should never treat people differently because of the way they look or talk. Were all the same, maybe not on the outside, but on the inside. (Sorry that sounds cheesy!)
