We just bought a one time used Kirby for 300 dollars. It was a steal. However, all the info I read says the carpet cleaning part is really a pain in the *** that it is better to get a dry vac for that part. Also, there was no instructions from the person we got it from on how to put the cleaning part together. We got an Ultimate G series Kirby. Any information would help imensely. Thank you

You got a great vac, but a horrible carpet cleaner. In the amount of time it takes to put the cleaner attachment together you can have a room steam cleaned, better off to go buy a bissell steam cleaner at Walmart for that. Oh and watch out that you don't pick up some objects or change with your Kirby it will damage the fan, my husband broke mine everytime he used it.

I have an older Kirby generation 3, I've only used the carpet cleaner a time or two, its really not all that good because it leaves your carpet really wet, it doesn't suck up the water. To be honest I never have liked my Kirby, but I have had it for 13yrs.

Go to the website and order a new book for it. My mom and sister had Kirby's and loved them-my mom even used hers to spray paint!
