If children keep you young, why do the childless, look better, and have more money?

I have four kids, and feel every minute of 100.

But don't feel bad.... think of this, this always makes me feel better....

I am 39 and I have teenagers already whereas some of my relatives / friends are barely beginning to have kids. I can still keep up with my kids... we ski, scuba dive, white water-rafting, horse back riding, etc.... will your friends be able to keep up with their kids when their kids are teenagers? I think NOT!!

In ten years from now, my friends will be at home taking care of the soccer schedule and falling asleep by 8 pm when I'll be getting my second wind... swimming down in the Caribbean somewhere without kids of my own....

The childless don't always look better, but when they do it is because they don't have as much stress. But children do tend to keep you young since you are always on the go and running around. And the only reason that childless people have more money is because they don't have any children to spend it on.

I never heard that children keep you young, quite on the contrary. All my friends, after having kids, tell me about how they have to change the way they do everything, be it driving, scheduling things, sleeping, hanging out, etc. The effects of this naturally lead to increased stress, which in turn induces the effects related to somewhat rapid aging (and therefore often seem less attractive).
With regard to money, I think it goes without saying that for the first 15-or-so years of the child's life, he will be more of a burden then a help. This is often the case even after 25 years (college, marriage, cars, etc.).
