It doesn't matter how far along you are. It is all in the genes and whether or not your skin has alot of elasticity. I'm 7 months pregnant and don't have any at all, my friend is 4 months and she already has them, and we are both small framed women. Just ask your doctor, he/she will tell you the same and really... when you are pregnant you only need to concern yourself with what your doctor tells you. After all he/she is the one that went to school for this for many years. Congrats also by the way!

I'm 54 and had three children. I gained 45-50 lbs. with each child, but lost the weight each time. The stretch marks started about 3 months, so each time started rubbing olive oil everyday, doesn't take much, just a drop or two. To this day I still don't have any stretch marks. It's good that you moisturize every day. Good luck! Debbie

I still don't have any, and I am 37 weeks along, and in early labor, so I'll be having this baby in a day or two my dr said, so hopefully I don't develop some in the next couple days...
but, you can go through your entire pregnancy and get them in the last couple weeks, because your baby is growing so fast, half a pound a week on average!
moisturize all you want, but for a lot of people it doesn't even do any good, it's more genetics than anything else. dont' worry though, they usually fade pretty well with time! :)

I didn't get stretch marks with my son until I was 8 months. I was so excited not to get them then all of a sudden. I know women though that have had several kids and don't have any. I believe that they have something to do with genetics too. I mositurized everyday like three times a day and still got them. If you get them, at first it's hard to deal with but what they represent makes it all better!

probably around 7 months....i used the palmers cocoa butter 2 times a day and got a few on my sides but towards the end I got pre-eclampsia and I gained like 10 lbs. (retaining water badly) and everything was stretched out lol... no matter what u do you will probably end up with some because your skin can only stretch so far but good luck

all pregnancies are different, some women don't get stretch marks during pregnancy and some do! I've always been skinny and when i was pregnant i gained a total of 80 lbs during pregnancy and never had any stretch marks, even after i had my baby, and lost all my pregnancy weight and still didn't have any stretch marks!

I didn't get any, with either pregnancy. And I never moisturized.
I think it depends partially on genetics, and partially on how much you gain/lose and how fast.
I gained 35# with my first, and just under that with my second. And was back in my old jeans between 2 and 4 months after each kid. (Jeans are the gold standard, in my opinion. You can make almost anything else fit and look OK pretty soon after your babies are born, but jeans just don't work until you've really lost it all.)
