Reading a good book, on any topic you like is the best pastime you can do in the bus, riding the train, and while sitting on the "throne." :-)

*get a phone that gives free minutes and chat to your mates
*buy a walkman, CD player or whatever they call them these days and listen to some music whilst watching the world go by

I like beading bracelets, anklets, necklaces. I do it on the bus myself. Hard to do stamping or scrapbooking on the bus! LOL
