What can I do when I go to work and I am always working short staffed.?

I work for the airlines and I am forced to work so fast in order to get customers processed in time for their flight. I have talked to supervisors about it and they could care less and never offer help to employess, they just sit in their office and let us work our asses off. I understand this is a fast paced environment but we just don't have enough staff. I like the job but hate working like this Any advice.

I am not sure HR will do anything.

week and I have made a total of just over $42,000.00 and
it's still coming in rapidly. It's certainly worth $6.00,
and 6 stamps, I have spent more than that on the lottery!!

The best way I've found to deal with uncooperative people is to prosper/succeed. That is the best revenge-for lack of a better word. There are several ways in this situation that you can do that. You can find another job with an airline that has a better human resource track record. I would make sure that you talked to current employees to make sure you aren't changing jobs into a situation that is equally as bad or worse. The other thing you could do is brainstorm and start a business of your own in the customer service end of travel, using your customer service experience and skills. The last but most immediately practical thing you can do is, whenever you are serving customers is to ask them how they felt about the overall service. They probably will say the service was great but could have been done faster or something along those lines. You simply respond that it's because you are understaffed at the moment and haven't received any customer complaints or demands for more staff. However, here is a number they can call to make a complaint and request for more staff. I'm sure most customers will be more than happy to call and complain. Particularly frequent repeat customers and American customers(they usually demand a higher level of customer service than their European counterparts).

R u unionized? Maybe you should go higher up (not the supervisors) to talk about it. If u hate working like that u should get another job. There are probably other airlines that have good management & care about their employees. Do a research? Ask other employees on the other airlines if any problems regarding short staffing. I've travelled to Las Vegas and one of the staff got mad at the other staff because she was already busy catering to the wheeled chair customer but the other staff wasn't wanting to help board other customers. So I have observed how busy an airline could be. It all depends on the management>>>higher up. So don't give up complaining or talking about it...one day someone will hear & listen.
