If you want to read a good book read Watership Down, it is a juvenile book but has a great many lessons for life. If you are a true reader you will enjoy it. If you want a great inspirational book about a high school kid find a book titled "the Comeback Guy"

Pick up a copy of Pope Joan. Just finished it and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hated to put it down until I'd finished reading it.
The story is about the legend of a female Pope who, as a child, disguised herself as a boy and assumed her brother's identity when he died, so that she could attend school. She rose through the ranks of the priesthood and became Pope. A great read!
For light reading, try Weekend in Paris. It was fun.

One of the best books I've read is Christy Yorke's Song of the Seals. Quote from a review: Christy Yorke offers a compelling novel of life, loss, and the bittersweet joy of loving with one's whole heart. Beautifully written prose.
