I have always had a passion for acting and almost everyone including my father say i got the talent to make it big time. My mom is the only one who doesnt support me. she thinks im wasting my time. Im very funny and i always wanted to be a comedian or actor. Should i really consider pursuing this dream or drop it? if not what should i do to make it? Could really use so good advice.

It is VERY hard. If you want to do it, then try, but ALWAYS have a backup plan. You will definitely learn what your knees are for (and I dont' mean prayer) when you are trying to make it in Hollywood. If you want to make it, you need to get involved in as many theater opportunities as physically possible. You also need to hire both an acting coach and a vocal coach. It takes a LOT of money just to get an audition. You must first get a Screen Actor's Guild card, which can be gotten by doing commercials for a broadcasting company OR a professional theatrical troupe. After you get your card, then you can begin to audition in Hollywood.

NEVER GIVE UP!!!
people say that for a reason, i'm pretty sure it took all the those other actors out there a long time to make it...but you'll never make it unless you at least try. it could take months or even years...make it or not at least you can say you tried and hey you might meet some hot people on the way up!

Easy to be an actor in Hollywood. Not so easy to get a *job* as an actor in Hollywood.

I believe that you can and will be what you want if you are willing to pay the price it takes. You need to love it and want it. There are many examples of people that spent years and years plugging along and finally one day the got that one break that made them a household name. (Joe Pesci) Billybob Thorton,etc. So can you do it? Yes you can. Most defiently. Be ready for anything and be prepared to spend the rest of your life doing it. If you really want it and love it.

The trick is to get noticed by the right person or people. Take every job you can find that will help you to display your talents, even if it pays next to nothing. If you have the talent and the charisma someone of importance will eventually notice you. Thanks.

u bet u should have special talents and be very good at acting and imitating people u can reach to be the best if u put feelings into what r u doing.

never give up, succeed in what you believe in. I say to never give up on ur dream...once you go to hollywood, you can never get out. So keep trying cuz one day you are gonna be the actress you dreamed of being.
