What ever happened to Limp Bizkit?

1) They lost their guitarist, which rather stinks if half of your sound is supposed to be metal...

2) Fred Durst....where to begin. :) Ah, I'll keep it simple, he let the hype get to his head, thought he had more talent than what he did, and let his ego ruin the band on him.

3) People got tired, or at least the teenage crowd did, or maybe the adults buying albums for the teenagers, got tired of the bad reputation the whole genre of "nu-metal" had for being hateful, misogynist, violent, etc. And the kids who insisted on that kind of music anyway went *back* to straight hip-hop (because it was able to remain as negative and stupid without being criticized).

So am I bashing Limp Biz? Only if you think Durst *is* the band.

And I am not, so not bashing nu-metal, ok? I like the stuff usually, but I also admit that your Music Industry is also made up of a bunch of suck-ups and pansies who undoubtedly got the memo from parents and politicians to "kill" this style of music once it caused a *Woodstock* concert to decay into barbarity and death....

In short....we aren't hearing more nu-metal in general (not just Limp Biz) because the CEOs say so, and they have some really irritated politicians and some really censor/bleep happy suck-ups over at MTV and the FCC backing them up.

Do I like it? Not so much...hell, I'd sooner listen to even *crappy* Fred Durst than crunk these days. But I do understand why things are the way they are....

In short, Big Money Says NO. Like it does with everything else in America. Seriously.
