Most of the time I prefer the original but if you want examples then I'd pick a remake that was based on an original. Ten things I Hate About You based on the Taming of the Shrew.

ok...while generally the original is always better, the remake offers better effects...etc, and a fresh view...i really liked King Kong (the latest remake, it's been done several times), my boyfriend commented a few months ago..."what's with all the remakes...are they running out of ideas, or something." ...i swear though they had better not touch "Gone with the Wind."

i've got on no account seen the unique yet my dad advance into telling me awhile decrease back that he theory The Italian pastime remake advance into lots greater effective than the unique. i in my view do no longer understand of any that have been greater effective than the unique. in lots of situations remakes are crap. Edit: the main modern-day Phantom of the Opera movie blows each and all the others, alongside with the Broadway version, out of the water. so some distance as Ocean's 11, you're rather comparing apples to oranges. Batman starts off/dark Knight have been lots greater effective than any of the previous variations. Disney's Chronicles of Narnia are way greater effective than the unique BBC variations.

I prefer Dangerous Liasons to Cruel Intentions for obvious reasons, I prefer any original horror movie (Dawn of the Dead, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, etc) to the new versions, especially Japanese horror, like the Ring, Grudge, etc, because it loses integrity and suspense with the want to gross you our more than anything.
