yeah, it dont seen fair anymore. But it is all staged with selection and editing.

They generate characters to suit the designers/selecters ideas of what should be.

"oh, we've got this really cocky guy, arrogant and womanising lets show how confident he is then knock him down, soooo shocking"

stereotypical, political, dishonest, taking advantage of the contestants and the public and we all lap it up.

The backstage producers, editors people on 65-80k a year are morally sick and have a lot to answer for.
lieing to the pulic and wrecking some hopful wannabees lives.

The entire set up of Big Brother is designed to ensure that the housemates, or inmates, will literally go wild. Not only are the group complete strangers to each other, which creates paranoia, their every move can be watched and commented upon. There is also little mental stimulation for them, no books TV or magazines even, but copious amounts of drink, which again is going to make people act strangely.
There also seems to be a popularity competition between housemates- who can get a kiss or even sex from another housemate, who can act the most bizarre,,, These acts are then encouraged by the producers to ensure they get good ratings.
It changed from a good example of social psychology ijnto a freak show with the introduction of transexuals and homosexual contestants, as these contestants were often added simply for mockery and shock value. I have nothing against homosexuals and transsexuals but I believe these contestants make a mockery out of their situation.
Another problem is that when other TV channels realised that they could get really good ratings from such TV, they put on their own shows, promoting 'beauty' over actual intelligence and often degrading their willing volunteers, of which there is a ready supply.
Also, there is a strange idea that a contestant can then go on as a 'celebrity' in their own right, selling their story to the glossy magazines fo silly amounts of money, and that their readers eagerly wait for the exclusive stories of love and betrayal that inevitably ensue.
When one series was on, I turned over and watched The Experiment, an experiment based upon the research of Dr Phillip Zimbardo, a leading psychologist. In this, a group of young men were assigned either guard or prisoner roles in a mock prison They were then free to move within the prison setting. The original experiment had the volunteers taking their roles very seriously, the prisoners becoming deindividuated and stripped of identity, believing the prison they were in was real. The new one had the prisoners targeting the psychologically weak guards, and eventually, as in the original experiment, the researchers had to halt the experiment.
The other good thing that came out of my abandonment of Big Brother was that I discover the programme CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, so there was something better to watch than mindless pap.

I watched the 2nd Series and really enjoyed it but when the 3rd Series came out people had clicked on about how popular it could make them so it wasn't the same they were fake and since then its just gone down hill I think as they pick the weirdest of people they can find and stick them in a house but they have no idea what to say or how to react to each other

I have only recently started watching BB and it just goes to show how people cant get along with each other. They are always talking about each other behind their backs, they are so rude and annoying. I f I went in there I would take a paint gun with me and shoot every single one of them. (except maybe Pete and Glyn)

It has got to be the biggest pile of crap, its full of spoilt selfish underhanded people who as children probably were not took in hand or suffered with ADHD and by giving them a platform your just submitting to them all over again they should ban the crap.
