I have an icon that keeps flashing and it has a message that says "Security Alert: Spyware Detected". I've ran a free spyware scan and 2 other spyware removal programs and they say I have no spyware. This icon won't go away unless I buy their product. Is there a way to delete or remove it from my computer?

Start>Run> type in MSCONFIG
click on the startup tab on the right
Uncheck the program from the list and it will be gone on the next reboot.

If it comes back you will have to download a program call hijackthis it will help you remove it out of the registry so it will never come back.

Find out the name of the program. Boot your computer in safe mode and then uninstall it. After the uninstall reboot. That should remove it for good you may also want to delete temp files and cookies.
