How long has the kid been 8 years old or something?

No, and neither will Dennis the Menace, Charlie Brown, Nancy, Archie and Jughead or the kids from Family Circus. Biologically speaking, these kids should all be drooling on a dinner tray in a nursing home by now.

"For Better or for Worse" is the only comic strip I can think of where the characters actually age.

i don't think so. hello, he's a cartoon. and i think he's funny even though he's really stupid. i think that matt groenig prefers the 8 year old bart instead of a grown up bart. anyway, he's been 8 years old since the simpsons aired on tv.

Most cartoons, they never grow up.

These characters would have been the following ages:

Bart would have been 24 years old
Lisa would have been 21 or 22 years old.
Maggie would have been 13 years old
Homer would had died at the age of 42. ( I don't know that is true?)
Marge would have been 38 years old? ( I think?)

He's grown up in a couple of episodes, but cartoon characters don't grow up (I bet the "kids" from the Harry Potter movies are envious).

Will Homer ever be skinny for good?
Will Marge ever dye her hair a different color?
Will Lisa ever be incredibly stupid?
Will Maggie ever learn to speak properly?

Obviously not, it is the stereotype/archetype in the cartoon, I don't see why the heck you're asking this silly question.

Probably not. He might though; think about the Rugrats. 10 years as babies, then they suddenly go to 13 years old.

I hope not. If he does then that will be the end of the show? Who would want that?

I know I'm lame.
